Stephen J. Karin, 79, of Dunkirk, passed away unexpectedly at home Friday, April 17, 2026 Born in Dunkirk on December 24, 1946, he was the husband of Ruth (Heiderman) Karin and son of the late Arthur J. and Florence (Sampson) Karin.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years Ruth (Heiderman) Karin, loving children Heide and Kevin Karin; grandchildren Ian Karin, Emma Karin and Scout Karin; brothers Dennis (Carolyn) Karin and David (Christine) Karin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held privately in Willowbrook Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by R. Michael Mackowiak III; McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY.
