Ronald “Bobo" S. Trezenski passed away peacefully after a remarkable 90 years. Born in Dunkirk in April 1936, Ronald was a near-lifelong resident of the community before moving to Largo, Florida, in 2020.
After serving in the United States Army in Chicago, Ronald returned to Dunkirk and started his career at True Temper. Back home, he met Diane A. Majak, the woman who would become his incredible wife of more than 50 years. They married in 1963, traveled through Europe, and settled back in Dunkirk, being active in the community while raising their daughter.
Ronald was known for his sharp sense of humor and his steadfast loyalty to a few key things: a good round of golf, delicious food, his three grandchildren, and his favorite sports teams—the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Guardians, and Orlando Magic. In his later years, he especially loved traveling to family gatherings, where he never missed a chance to share a laugh.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Nancy; grandchildren, Jonathan “Jack”, Fiona, and Stasio; his sisters-in-law, Barbara (Majak) Graf and Angela (DiCara) Trezenski; his brother and sister-in-law, John & Chris Majak; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Diane; brother, Kenneth, his parents, Belle (Kubasik) Trezenski and Stanley Trezenski. We are sure he's asking his heavenly family about meatloaf or chicken noodle soup right now.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ronald’s life during visitation on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 9-11 AM at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 11:30 a.m. at the Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Church of St. Hyacinth; 295 Lake Shore Drive E., Dunkirk, NY. Interment will be held in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of his service, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in Ronald's name to SongwritingWith:Soldiers (www.songwritingwithsoldiers.org), supporting veterans and their families through the healing power of songwriting and storytelling.
