Raymond Edward Jordan Jr., 75, of Dunkirk, New York, passed away on April 20, 2026.
Born on July 30, 1950, in Warren, Pennsylvania, Ray was the son of the late Raymond and Josephine Jordan. He lived a life defined by curiosity, humor, and a mind that was always at work. An avid tinkerer and self-made “mastermind,” Ray had a gift for figuring things out and was often the go-to “brain trust” for those around him.
Ray never claimed to be the funniest man in the room—he knew he was. His quick wit and unfiltered honesty meant you were always going to hear his thoughts, whether you asked for them or not. That same openness was matched by a deep generosity; he would give you the shirt off his back if he believed it would help.
He found joy in the outdoors, especially riding and working on his bike, always looking for the next thing to fix, improve, or understand. More than anything, Ray will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his constant stream of thoughts, and the unmistakable way he connected with people—often leaving them laughing, sometimes shaking their heads, but never forgetting him.
Ray is survived by his sons, Raymond Jordan III, Justin Holmes, Michael Dake, and Carl Brewer; and his daughter, Trazina Brewer. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Lampman. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Julian, Jeremiah, Logan, Simon, Quinn, Jayce, Lily, Zaiden, Eli, and Logan; and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lexi.
He is also survived by his sisters, Peggy Tanner of Mayville, NY, and Regina Madrid of Austin, TX.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Funeral Services on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Interment will be held in private. Arrangements are by R. Michael Mackowiak III; McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
He will be missed by so many.
