Philip Joseph Nosek, 64 and Linda Anne Nosek, 63, both lifelong residents of the Dunkirk and Fredonia area, passed away suddenly on April 22nd, 2026.

Linda was born in Dunkirk, New York, the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Czarnecki) Zentz. She was a proud graduate of the Dunkirk Senior High School Class of 1980 and went on to earn her degree in Dental Hygiene from Erie Community College in 1984.

Philip was born in Dunkirk, New York, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Jugasek) Nosek. He was a proud graduate of Fredonia High School Class of 1980 and went on to earn a degree in Industrial Technology from Buffalo State College in 1984.

Philip and Linda married in 1986 uniting their inseparable bond. Together for over 40 years, their bond was filled with countless cherished memories. They found great joy in traveling, boating and always had their beloved Golden Retrievers by their side, who were as much a part of their family as the many lives they touched along the way. They were both members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Dunkirk, where Linda was also a proud member of the choir for many years.

Linda was a familiar and friendly face in the community, serving patients for many years at the dental office of Dr. Foley and the orthodontist office of Dr. Strychalski. A woman of immense quiet strength, she was also a Breast Cancer survivor.

Linda found peace and purpose in her garden and joy in her kitchen, where she was known for baking delicious desserts that were the highlight of family gatherings. An animal lover at heart, she was rarely seen without her cherished Golden Retrievers.

Philip, fondly known as “Flip” by many of his friends, was an avid hockey fan and player himself. For several years, he enjoyed actively participating in local adult hockey leagues where he played as their goalie. He also enjoyed participating in Buffalo’s Turkey Trot.

Philip worked at Lakeside Precision, Inc. as a Quality Manager, in addition to being a skilled welder.

Linda’s memory will be carried on by her sister, Ellen (Zentz) D'Sa of Lake Frederick, VA; her brother and sister in-law, Steven & Denise Zentz of Dunkirk; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Christina D'Sa-Malloy, Brandon D'Sa, Alexandria Zentz-Wright, Abigail Zentz, Steven Zentz Jr., and Zachary Zentz, along with two great nieces and a great nephew.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Edward Zentz.

Philip’s memory will be carried on by his sister, Linda Rugani of New Hampshire and his brother, James (Ruby) Nosek of Fredonia. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews…Jeannine (Steven) Rugani Szumigala of South Carolina; Marc (Elizabeth) Rugani of New Hampshire; Ashley Nosek (Christopher Scazafavo) of Eden, NY; Ethan (Kathleen) Rugani traveling for the US Army; along with several great nieces and nephews.
