Gregory J. Buckley

Gregory J. Buckley, 58, of Fredonia, NY, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at his home.
He was born on July 7, 1965 and was a lifelong resident of the Dunkirk-Fredonia area. He graduated
from Dunkirk High School where he participated in several sports and excelled in wrestling. He then
went on to pursue an AAS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at Alfred State College. After
graduating from College, Greg began working at the West Valley Nuclear Services Company. He held
several positions, eventually earning a Management role as a Project Lead.
In 1999 Greg, his brother Kevin, and Best Friend Brian Siebert opened Creekside Archery Shop in
Forestville, NY. The idea to open this business was driven by his passion of shooting competitive
Archery. He competed in World and National events as a member of The International Bowhunting
Organization.
In 2014 Greg changed career paths and went on to work as a realtor. He was well known in the
community as a real estate agent for Howard Hanna Holt and recently was honored with the Real Estate
Gold Leader Award.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Roger H. Buckley, and his niece and Goddaughter, Katie L.
Korzeniewski.
Surviving are his sons, Tyler and Zachary Buckley, his loving companion, Karen Edwards, and his
stepchildren, Kaitlin and Brandon Wallace. Also surviving are his mother, Arlene M. Buckley, his siblings,
Michelle (Gerald) Polvino, Melinda (David) Korzeniewski, Kevin (Marci Barlett) Buckley, Shannon Moore,
and several nieces and nephews.
Greg was happiest spending time with his children, girlfriend, and grand-dog, Rusty. He enjoyed
tinkering at home and enjoyed the peacefulness of nature on his hunting properties. His favorite past
times included hunting, hiking, pickleball, listening to Nickelback and entertaining friends and family at
“Buckley’s Bar”. He was an avid Miami Dolphins football fan. Hunting and Football seasons were his two
favorite times of the year.
Greg was a true “MacGyver”, he could fix anything, even if it included his own ingenious improvisations.
He had a sweet tooth and loved his midnight snacks. His contagious smile, witty personality, and famous
apple pancakes will be missed by everyone.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 1-4 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10 am at Holy Trinity
Roman Catholic Church.
