Elizabeth A. Donovan

Elizabeth A. (Nasca) Donovan, 84, of Fredonia, passed away Sunday evening, July 13, 2025. Born in Dunkirk on April 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Anthony L. Nasca, Sr. and Mary (Lodico) Nasca.

Betty was a graduate of Dunkirk High School in 1959. She graduated from the State University of Fredonia with a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. She taught two years in parochial schools in Dunkirk and then taught in the Sinclairville Elementary School (CVCS) for 30 years. Ultimately retiring in 1996.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 59 in Fredonia and a lifetime member of the Fredonia Beaver Club. Betty also volunteered at the Fredonia Senior Luncheon site. In her free time, Betty enjoyed reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and golf.

Betty is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Lucille Nasca and Margaret Dybeck and brothers David Nasca and Anthony L. Nasca, Jr.

Funeral services will be held in private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Interment will be held privately in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
