Dennis P. Swingle

Dennis P. Swingle, 75, of Dunkirk, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst, NY. Born in Dunkirk on July 16, 1951, he was the son of the late Donald R. Swingle Sr. and Angeline (Paternosh) Swingle.

A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Dennis attended Dunkirk High School. He had a lifelong passion for cars and took great interest in classic sports cars. He was also an avid football fan and looked forward to attending the NFL Hall of Fame Game each year with his friends, Jim Bunge and Ed Strawser.Dennis enjoyed collecting vintage beer signs and old toys, and he had a great love for animals. He will be remembered for his kind nature, his many interests, and the friendships he formed throughout his life.

Dennis is survived by his brother Donald R. Swingle, Jr.

In addition to his parents, Dennis is preceded in death by his brother Gary Swingle.
