Listen to Obituary

Debra Lynn (Cheatham) Heintzman, 71, of Sinclairville, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, PA, after a long illness with her friend by her side. Born in Moundsville, WV, to her parents Joseph and Mildred (Hall) Cheatham.

Debbie attended John Marshall High School in Glenn Dale, WV. She began taking piano lessons at a young age and became an accomplished pianist. She used her gift to serve God in music ministries at churches in West Virginia, Florida, and Western New York. Debbie's pride and joy was the companionship of her little Yorkie poo, Tucker. It is great comfort knowing they are reunited.

She loved to shop and many of her friends were recipients of her gifts, as she found true joy in giving! Debbie was quite the story teller, thanks for the laughter, thanks for the memories.

Survivors include her son Christopher Borden of Florida, a sister Renee Holmes of Louisiana, an aunt Shelly Holmes, four nieces, one nephew, several cousins, and many special friends, including her "New York" family.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Cheatham, a brother Joey Cheatham and a niece, Stephanie.

Debbie's life was met with many difficulties and challenges. She was a very special friend to many. She will be truly missed, but may we find comfort in knowing she is at peace now.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by R. Michael Mackowiak III; McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Share condolences at, www.mcgrawkowalfuneralhome.com
