Deborah K. Richardson, 73, of Dunkirk died Sunday morning (May 21, 2023) at home following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 29, 1949 in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Phyllis J. (Clees) Richardson.
A lifelong resident of the area, Deborah was a graduate of Forestville High School, class of 1968. She was a life member of the John T. Murray VFW Post 1017 Auxiliary.
Debbie enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and the Buffalo Sabres. She held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog Sabre. She enjoyed gardening and at one point her garden was the garden of the week in the Observer. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and caring for all who had the pleasure of spending time with her.
Survivors include her loving companion, Dr. Richard S. Forrester; two daughters, Rhonda (Don Clement) Daminski and Amy (Tim) Reed, both of Dunkirk; one son, Douglas Daminski of Clarence; two sisters, Sandra Germano of Buffalo and Brenda Richardson of Dunkirk; five grandchildren, Genevieve Riddle, Alyssa Clement, Don Clement, Gillian Reed, and Andrew Daminski-Hunt; two sisters-in-law, Wendy Forrester and Jean Jakowbowicz; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bradley Richardson; and brother-in-law, David A. Forrester.
A celebration of Debbie’s life is being planned and will be announced at a later date. There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
