In search of new opportunities, Costantino made the courageous decision to move to America at the age of 21 in 1967.
Throughout his life, Costantino held several jobs. He worked at Better Baked, Redwing in Fredonia, and Al Tech Specialty Steel in Dunkirk. However, it was in 1985 that he embarked on a new journey by starting his own plumbing and heating company called CV Plumbing and Heating. This venture laid the foundation for his son's company, Vecchio Brothers Heating & Cooling.
Remembered as a loving family man, Costantino cherished spending time with his loved ones. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, affectionately calling him Papa. The joy he found in their presence was immeasurable and brought him immense happiness.
Outside of work, Costantino was well-known for his exceptional gardening skills and took great pride in cultivating beautiful plants and flowers. In addition, he had a unique wagon where he would sell fruits and vegetables grown from his own garden. To further showcase his talents, Costantino also made his own wine and cheese.
Costantino possessed wisdom beyond his years and had an unrivaled work ethic that earned him respect from all who knew him. He was reliable in every aspect of life, consistently demonstrating unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and career. His jovial nature brightened the lives of those around him as he always had jokes ready to bring a smile to anyone's face.
Memberships include St. Vincent de Paul Society which he was an active member of until his passing. He was also a member of the local steelworkers union, St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, and the Chautauqua County Italian Society.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Anna (Tura) Vecchio, his loving sons Vincent (Melissa) Vecchio, Eugene (Lisa) Vecchio, and Costantino (Sheila) Vecchio Jr.; sister Teresa Vecchio; Grandchildren Nicholas, Cassandra, Anna, Jenna, Maya, Kara, Dustin, and Madison. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
