Allan Duane Sprague

Allan Duane Sprague, age 70, of Sheridan, New York passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026. He was born on November 19, 1955 in Dunkirk to Neil and Phyllis Sprague.

Allan will be remembered for his humor, strength, and generosity, as well as his dedication to his family and his faith. He was an outdoorsman , avid hunter, and enjoyed rugby, basketball, football and hockey. He also loved riding his Harley, and playing with his pit bull, Jake.

Allan left behind his wife of 36 years, Judy Sprague, five children, Jack Sprague, Julie Kowalski, AJ Sprague, Julie Hong, and Kim Barnhardt, three sisters, Brenda Sprague, Holly Conklin, and Terri Sprague, eleven grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Sprague, and his parents, Neil and Phyllis Sprague.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11 a.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Willowbrook Park Cemetery.
